Hey, my name is Randi and I’m 14. I’m sorry to bother you, but how do I join junior derby? Also, what do we learn while we’re there? Any info would be much appreciated, thanks!

      Hi Randi!
Awesome! I’ll send an e-mail with your contact info to the Junior Derby organizer. She can tell you all about it! If you’re interested in learning more, just having a chat with people, come on down to our meet and greet next wednesday! We’re renting out a skating rink, and it’s going to be a ton of fun! worcesterrollerderby.com/?p=782

      Talk to you soon!

There doesn’t seem to be much info on the site for junior derby. My daughter is 13, and we wanted to look into the league see if it may be something she could possibly join

Hi Tara! Sorry for the delay in responding to you. Our Junior Derby league is run by our teammate, Nicole Howard (derby name Stone Fox). Practices are held on Sundays from 12-2pm at our warehouse practice space (34 Suffolk St, Worcester). We are currently looking for new junior skaters, so if you’re daughter is still interested, now would be the perfect time to check us out! Swing by practice on Sunday with your daughter to meet with Nicole and learn more about Junior Derby!

    Hi –

I was wondering if I could take my 5th grade Junior Girl Scout troop to a junior derby practice. I’d like to expose them to a sport other than soccer and basketball. They are all 10 years old. Also, we can fit this into a Girl Scout badge.

PS – Feel free to call me if it’s easier, 857-234-2248.

Hi, Amber! Our junior league practices Sundays from 12-2 at 34 Suffolk St, Worcester. You’ll need quad skates, a helmet, elbow/knee/wristguard pads and a mouth guard. We take all levels of skaters so experience isn’t an issue. Let us know if you have any other questions! We look forward to seeing you! – Kat Smashley

Hi my daughter Sassy really wants to start roller derby and I was wondering how she went about it. I’m also interested and wondered if we might be able to do it together. She is 15 and I’m 45. We can both skate.

Hello! Sassy would qualify for our juniors league (10-17 year old) which practices on Sundays from 12-2. If you wanted to join as well, you could join our latest fresh meat class which practices Wednesdays 8-10 and Sundays 5-7. We also hold open skates most Fridays which you and your daughter could both come to. All practices are held at our warehouse (34 Suffolk St, Worcester, MA.) Monthly dues for juniors are $20/month. For our adult league, dues are $40/month. If you would like more info, you can send us an email at skate@worcesterrollerderby.com, or you can call me directly at 609.290.5133. Thanks for your interest! – Kat

(I am noticing that your email is a UK based server. Not sure if you’re looking for the UK Worcester League or not, but we’re located in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA.)

Hi, my name is Lindsey and I’m 13. I am super interested in roller derby but I am worried that I am too late to sign up. If you could let me know, that would be awesome. I was also wondering if there was a time I could watch a practice but not participate. Thank you.
