Hi, I have been thinking of something different to do. All my life I have loved to roller skate. It was my favorite thing to do as a kid. I havent been on skates in years but I know I can still go along with the best of them. I am 56 years old soon to be 57 am I too old?

Hi Trisha! You’re welcome to come skate with us! We have no age requirements, and we’d love to have you! If you’re not sure if you’re comfortable with a full contact sport like roller derby, we have a a “Fresh Meat” program for all new skaters. You’d be skating on Wednesdays and Sundays, and that takes you through basic skills like skating, stopping, and falling safely. Then we have assessments for other skills like hitting, and avoiding dangerous situations on the track, and our skaters progress through those as they’re ready for them. If you’d like to give it a try, I’ll pass your info along to our Freshmeat folks, and we’ll alert you as soon as our next meet and greet or Freshmeat session kicks off! Hope to see you skating with us!
